Adult Class Times and Prices
ALL BELTS: this is RCR BJJ's advanced class. Open to all from brand new beginner to black belts, this class will have detailed technique instruction. Class begins with a 10-15 minute warm up, 20-30 minute technique instruction, 15-30 minute progressive resistance drilling, followed by 1 hour of open sparring (what we call "rolling"). Second hour may also include mixture of games, drilling, problem solving, or open mat time.
BEGINNERS: specifically formulated for brand new students, this class is 1 hour long. Will begin with 5-10 minute warm up, then 30-40 minutes of instruction, and 10-25 minutes of limited, positional sparring. No open sparring/rolling. Focus is on understanding key concepts and defensive positions. Perfect for the individual looking to get their first start or the upper belt looking to hone the all-important basics.
SELF-DEFENSE: BJJ with strikes! This is a 1 hour class devoted to using Jiu Jitsu in self defense situations where striking is a factor: class will use mixture of MMA and boxing gloves so that "aggressor" can throw VERY light strikes and defender can focus on using BJJ techniques to stay safe, control, escape, and neutralize. Ever wondered how hard it is to get to your CCW while grappling? We work on that and more, here. Perfect class for Law Enforcement to practice BJJ while wearing vest and duty belt.
OPEN MAT: always overseen by an upper level belt, this is free time to get questions answered, roll, drill, try that crazy move you saw on YouTube. Or just sit around and talk, watch, whatever. It's open mat time.
